  D. Martin Fuery grew up in Southern California, in the Inland Empire, and it is still his home even after he moved out in 1999. He now lives in the Phoenix area, enjoying hot summers and snow-free winters and hanging out with his family and pets. He enjoys superhero stories and sci-fi fantasy, and is equally happy reading a Marvel comic book or a favorite book, such as Dune or anything by Isaac Asimov.

•  Hobbies and Stuff

  D. Martin Fuery enjoys many hobbies in addition to reading and writing. Fall, winter, and spring in Phoenix, Arizona are excellent for hiking and there are numerous scenic trails in the area. He is also a “dance dad,” supporting his daughter’s hobby and keeping many of his weekends busy.

•  About The Series

  D. Martin Fuery enjoys telling stories and frequently contributes to forums such as Reddit’s Writing Prompts. One such prompt from several years ago was to write about a superhero whose superpower is that he is 75% as strong as other superheroes. That prompt birthed the creation of Quarterback and he made appearances in several more superhero-related stories. It did not take long for there to be a desire to more fully develop the character and the world in which he lived. The Quarterback series is the telling of the story of Martin McDavis, how he became Quarterback, and how the rest of the world is adjusting to him and other superhumans.
